Assistant General Counsel Massachusetts Convention Center Authority 415 Summer Street Boston, MA 02210 Dear Attorney Joyce: I have received the petition of Colman Herman appealing the response of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (Authority) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 29, 2024, Mr. Herman requested “… copies of any and all communications between [identified individuals] for the period March 1, 2024 to the present.” Prior Appeal This request was the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR24/1123 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (April 30, 2024). In my April 30th determination, it was my understanding that the Authority was to provide a further response to Mr. Herman. The Authority responded on May 14, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Herman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/1549, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Authority intends on providing a supplemental response to Mr. Herman. Accordingly, the Authority is ordered to provide Mr. Herman with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Herman may appeal the substantive nature of the Authority’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
