Desiderio City Clerk City of Malden 215 Pleasant Street Malden, MA 02148 Dear Ms. Desiderio: I have received the petition of Commonwealth Transparency (“requestor”) appealing the response of the City of Malden (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 6, 2024, the requestor sought, “the following documents/ records for the Time Period July 1, 2021 through May 6, 2024: [1] Line item detail of all funds placed into/deposited into The Malden Community Fund Committee Inc. [2] Line item detail for all funds expended from The Malden Community Fund Committee Inc. [3] Line item detail for all funds transferred out of The Malden Community Fund Committee Inc. [4] Line Item detail for all funds transferred into The Malden Community Fund Committee Inc. The City provided a response on May 20, 2024. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, the requestor appealed, and this case, SPR24/1592, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided a supplemental response by email to the requestor and this office on May 28, 2024. As this appeal was opened based on the City’s May 20th response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, the requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s May 28th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
