G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv). As required by law, it is my understanding that the Department furnished a copy of this petition to the requestor, Irving F. Rounds, Jr. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On May 20, 2024, Mr. Rounds requested six (6) categories of records concerning separate incidents. In an email dated June 5, 2024, Mr. Rounds states, “[I] am writing to inform you that I am formally withdrawing my request for public records from the Massachusetts State Police (MSP). . .” Conclusion In light of the above, it is unnecessary to opine on the Department’s petition seeking permission to charge for time spent segregating or redacting responsive records.
