The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records August 9, 2024 SPR24/2150 Fiona Andrewes Executive Director West Brookfield Housing Authority 29 E Main Street West Brookfield, MA 01585 Dear Ms. Andrewes: I have received the petition of Jim Cote appealing the response of the West Brookfield Housing Authority (Authority) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 3, 2024, Mr. Cote requested: [1.] All information requested is that information that pertains to [an identified individuals][;] [2.] Email, mail, and voicemail from the Housing Authority Director related to our granddaughters family[;] [3.] Email, mail, minutes, phone logs, and voicemail from the Housing Authority Board that mentions or discusses [an identified individual] as a topic of conversation. This includes private emails that are used for town business[;] [4.] Email, phone logs, and letters from the Housing Authority to the West Brookfield Police Department as it relates to conversations regarding [an identified individual][;] [5.] Historical records of former resident being banned from visiting housing[;] [6.] Lost/stolen personal items, under the care of the West Brookfield Housing Authority, taken from the family household, in particular, but not limited to a dishwasher. Previous Appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR24/2108 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (July 29, 2024). In my July 29th Determination, I learned that the Authority provided Mr. Cote with a subsequent response. The Authority responded on July 25, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Cote petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2150, was opened as a result. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Authority’s July 25th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
