Williams, of Harvard Law School, Criminal Justice Institute, appealing the response of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 23, 2024, Mr. Williams requested, “…a copy of the map showing the locations of street cameras operated by the City of Boston. I understand this map may be called Intramap.” On June 23, 2024, the Department acknowledged Mr. Williams’ request, and provided him with a reference number for tracking purposes. On July 9, 2024, the Department provided Mr. Williams with a response. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Williams petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR24/2217, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, on August 13, 2024, the Department provided Mr. Williams with a supplemental response. Accordingly, where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s July 9th response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
