The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records August 16, 2024 SPR24/2316 Captain Michelle Mangino Revere Police Department 400 Revere Beach Parkway Revere, MA 02151 Dear Captain Mangino: I have received the petition of Elise Lambert appealing the nonresponse of the Revere Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 17, 2024, Ms. Lambert requested: 1. A list of all police officers employed by Revere Police Department since July 27, 2020, with the following information: a) Employee Identification number b) Full name c) Badge number d) Rank e) Status (i.e, “active” or “suspended with pay”) f) Date the individual joined the Revere Police Department g) Date the individual left the Revere Police Department (if applicable) 2. Any existing documentation on how the Revere Police Department assigns and tracks Officer ID numbers (employee IDs, badge numbers, etc.), including changes to these ID numbers over time. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Lambert petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2316, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Ms. Lambert with a response on August 16, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Lambert may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
