The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records August 27, 2024 SPR24/2414 Amy Akell Town Clerk Town of Ipswich 25 Green Street Ipswich, MA 01938 Dear Ms. Akell: I have received the petition of Timothy W. Goodrich appealing the response of the Town of Ipswich (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 6, 2024, Mr. Goodrich requested “…the 3A Task Force 7/29 meeting slides (or post them to the 3A website)?” On August 13, 2024, the Town acknowledged Mr. Goodrich’s request, and informed him, “I will check in with planning to see if [they] can locate the meeting slides.” On August 16, 2024, the Town provided a response, asserting, “I have requested [the record] be added to the webpage with an active Meeting Slides link. Once I have confirmation I will email you back so you can refer to the link.” Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Goodrich petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR24/2414, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that on August 24, 2024, the Town provided Mr. Goodrich with a supplemental response, which included the requested record. Accordingly, where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s August 16th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal close. Mr. Goodrich may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s August 24th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Timothy W.
