See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 8, 2024, in two separate requests, Mr. Mason requested the following: SPR24/2452 “… all calls for service to . . . Cambridgepark Drive from May 1, 2022 thru June 1, 2024” SPR24/2453 … calls for service for RA 1110 from May 1, 2022 thru June 1, 2024. The request should indicate, date, time, description of incident and report number. Its [sic] my understanding RA 1110 is the area in around Alewife T station and Cambridgepark[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Mason petitioned this office and these appeals, SPR24/2452 and SPR24/2453, were opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of these appeals, it remains unclear whether the Department has provided a response. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Mason with a response to his requests, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Mason may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
