Assistant District Attorney Records Access Officer Norfolk District Attorney’s Office 45 Shawmut Road Canton, MA 02021 Dear Attorney Hunt: I have received the petition of Thomas Murray appealing the nonresponse of the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § l0A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 14, 2024, Mr. Murray requested “[a]ny and all written letters or email communication between your office and any staff in your office, (to include any members of the SPDU,) and an individual by the name of . . . also identified by the account . . . on the social media platform X/Twitter[.]” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Murray petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2455, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Mr. Murray with a response dated August 29, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Murray may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
