Deree Weymouth Town Clerk 75 Middle Street Weymouth, MA 02189 Dear Ms. Deree: I have received the petition of Attorney Christin Lal appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Weymouth (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 14, 2024, Attorney Lal requested the following: [1] [C]opies of all documents related to the real estate development project initiated in February 2018 called Seascape at Weymouth, . . . Broad Reach Road, North Weymouth, Massachusetts 02191 developed by Delphi Construction, Inc. [2] Development Plans: Detailed architectural and engineering plans, site plans, and blueprints related to the project. [3] Permits and Approvals: Copies of all permits, approvals, and licenses issued or required for this project, including zoning variances and environmental assessments. [4] Meeting Minutes: Minutes from any town meetings, planning board meetings, or public hearings where this project was discussed. [5] Correspondence: Any correspondence between town officials and the developers or any third parties involved in the project. [6] Reports and Studies: Any impact studies, feasibility reports, or other analyses prepared in connection with the project. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Lal petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2538, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Town has provided a response. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Attorney Lal with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office.
