The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 20, 2024 SPR24/2539 Arielle Mullaney, Esq. Assistant General Counsel Executive Office of Public Safety and Security 1 Ashburton Place, Suite 2133 Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Mullaney: I have received the petition of Holly Robichaud, on behalf of Kelly Dooner, appealing the nonresponse of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 20, 2024, Ms. Dooner requested: . . . all public records that have come into your possession concerning the following: 1. The number of fraud hearings regarding the registry of motor vehicles facial recognition software from 7.1.23 to 7.1.24. 2. Where are people found to guilty to having multiple identities/stolen identities referred to? How many? Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Robichaud petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2539, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Ms. Robichaud with a response dated September 11, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Robichaud may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
