Anderson Jr. appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 5, 2024, Mr. Anderson requested the following: [1] A listing of every Officer, listed by rank and Shift, assigned to Old Colony Correctional Center (OCCC) as of [July 5, 2024] (this is to include ranks from Correctional Officer to Captain). [2] A separate listing of all Correctional Program Officers (CPOs), Maintenance Officers and Recreational Officers at OCCC as of July 5, 2024. [3] Starting pay rates for CO I, CO II, CO III and captains as of [July 5, 2024]. [4] A listing of all Administrative Staff assigned to OCCC and the pay rate for each as of July 5, 2025. [5] Pay rates for RO I, RO II, CPO I, CPO II and Maintenance Staff assigned to OCCC as of July 5, 2024. [6] A printout detailing any and all purchase made from the OCC Inmate Benefit Fund (IBF) for the period of June 1, 2023 to [July 5, 2024]. [7] Copies of the authorizations made by [the] Superintendent for funds of the IBF to be expended. [8] Copy of the Keefe Commissary Corp. Commissary Bulk Catalog in which show the cost of items they’re providing for sale to the inmates of the Mass. Dept. of Correction (MADOC). [9] Copy of the Canteen Price List showing what items and costs of them for all persons, civil commitments and criminal wards, at the Massachusetts Treatment Center. Kate Silvia SPR24/2546 Page 2 September 12, 2024 Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Anderson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2546, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Anderson with a response on September 11, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
