Anderson appealing the response of the Old Colony Correctional Center (Center) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 5, 2024, Mr. Anderson requested: [1] Listing showing the population of every unit within Old Colony Correctional Center (OCCC) as of the above date; [2] Percentage of inmates who have been double bunked within OCCC as of the above date; [3] Number of cells in units A-1, A-3, A-4, D-1, D-2, OU, ISU and the BAU which have inmates double bunked; [4] Percentage of inmates in the A-2 unit who are double bunked as of the above date; [5] Number and percentage of the population of OCCC General Population who have at least one institutional work assignment and number of those who have two institutional work assignments; [6] Number and percentage of inmates assigned to the A-2 unit who have at least one work assignment and number and percentage of those assigned to the A-2 unit who have two work assignment; [7] Copy of the posting outside the dining hall detailing in what order institutional units are to be called to eat; [8] Copies of any and all communications dating back to 1 June 2023 in which [named individuals] seek to obtain a volunteer for the American Veterans in Prison, Inc. program[;] [9] Listing detailing all movement times, times units called for general movement and times general movement periods ended, dating back to 1 June 2024; [10] Copy of all CO III posts during the month of December 2023; One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us Gayle Tickel SPR24/2593 Page 2 September 25, 2024 [11] Copy of all CO III posts as of 5 July 2024; [12] Copy of all maintenance work orders for program corridor classroom #5 dating back to 1 May 2023; [13] Purchase orders for all air conditioning units purchased for Old Colony dating back to 1 June 2023; and, [14] Installation orders, maintenance work orders/slips showing repairs and installation of all air conditioning units dating back to 1 June 2023… The Center provided a response on July 22, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Center’s response, Mr. Anderson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2593, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Center provided a supplemental response on September 20, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Center’s July 22nd response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
