The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 27, 2024 SPR24/2606 Alan Strauss Superintendent Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District 98 Howland Road Lakeville, MA 02347 Dear Superintendent Strauss: I have received the petition of Derek Gracia appealing the response of the Freetown- Lakeville Regional School District (District) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 29, 2024, Mr. Gracia requested “… all detailed legal invoices for fiscal year 2023, 2024, and 2025 Year to date[,] along with a copy of the general ledger documenting these expenses.” The District provided a response on September 13, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Gracia petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2606, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the District provided Mr. Gracia with a supplemental response on September 27, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the District’s September 13th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Gracia may appeal the substantive nature of the District’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
