The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 30, 2024 SPR24/2676 Mark Relation, Esq. Assistant District Attorney Records Access Officer Worcester County District Attorney’s Office 225 Main Street, G301 Worcester, MA 01608 Dear Attorney Relation: I have received the petition of Shannon Dooling appealing the response of the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § l0A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 16, 2024, Ms. Dooling requested, “...copies of any receipts or other documentation detailing the $173k in confidential expenditures and $45k in out of state travel[.]” The Office provided responses on July 17, 2024, July 23, 2024, July 30, 2024, and August 14, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Office’s responses, Ms. Dooling petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2676, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Ms. Dooling with a response dated September 25, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s July 17th, July 23rd, July 30th, and August 14th responses, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Dooling may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s September 25th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Shannon Dooling One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
