The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records October 15, 2024 SPR24/2793 Gabriel Hanafin Beverly Regional Airport 50 Lp Henderson Road Beverly, MA 01915 Dear Mr. Hanafin: I have received the petition of Steve Blomerth appealing the nonresponse of the Beverly Regional Airport (Airport) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 22, 2024, Mr. Stanley Slepoy, on behalf of the Danvers neighbors of the Beverly Regional Airport requested, “any project numbers, record numbers or reference numbers for any and all environmental reviews associated with the Beverly Airport Master expansion plan. Including but not limited to: ENF, EIS, DEIR or EIR.” On August 22, 2024, Mr. Slepoy requested the same information again, and further requested, “[a] listing of all verbal or written communications with FLA regarding the development of the . . . Burley Street hanger structure. This includes but not limited the lease between BVY and FLA.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Blomerth petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2793, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Airport provided Mr. Slepoy with a response dated August 26, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Airport’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Blomerth may appeal the substantive nature of the Airport’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Steve Blomerth Stanley Slepoy One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
