The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records October 23, 2024 SPR24/2801 Alan Strauss Superintendent Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District 98 Howland Road Lakeville, MA 02347 Dear Superintendent Strauss: I have received the petition of Derek Gracia appealing the response of the Freetown- Lakeville Regional School District (District) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 29, 2024, Mr. Gracia requested “… all detailed legal invoices for fiscal year 2023, 2024, and 2025 Year to date[,] along with a copy of the general ledger documenting these expenses.” Previous Appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR24/2606 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (September 27, 2024). The District provided a response on September 27, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Gracia petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2801, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the District provided Mr. Gracia with a supplemental response on October 23, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the District’s September 27th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Gracia may appeal the substantive nature of the District’s October 23rd response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
