O. Box 264 Shutesbury, MA 01072 Dear Ms. Bannasch: I have received the petition of Frank McGinn appealing the response of the Town of Shutesbury (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 7, 2024, Mr. McGinn requested “copies of all records in the Town’s possession regarding or referencing the Shutesbury Athletic Club’s liquor liability insurance, and any other insurance of the Club, from September, 2017, until now.” The Town responded on October 8, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. McGinn petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3010, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town intends on providing a supplemental response to Mr. McGinn. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. McGinn with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. McGinn may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
