Hassett Drive Medford, MA 02155 Dear Ms. Spencer: I have received the petition of Mike Korcynski appealing the response of the City of Medford (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 27, 2024, Mr. Korcynski requested, “records created or received pertaining to Tufts University and the construction of a new dormitory.… Specifically I’m interested in records created or received between July 1, 2024 and today.” Previous Appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR24/3036 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (November 14, 2024). In my November 14th determination, I learned that the City provided a supplemental response on November 13, 2024. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Korcynski petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3097, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the City intends on providing a supplemental response. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Korcynski with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Korcynski may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
