See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 18, 2024, Ms. Meints requested the following records: [1] Any and all documents relating to or filed in connection with school-related arrest and each referral to law enforcement conducted during the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 school year (up until the day the records are produced). Dr. Richard Gallucci SPR24/3176 Page 2 December 5, 2024 submitted to DESE as the result of a school based arrest or any such referral to law enforcement conducted during the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 school year[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Meints petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3176, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the School received this request on November 25, 2024. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the School intends on providing a written response to Ms. Meints. Accordingly, the School is ordered to provide Ms. Meints with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
