The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 6, 2024 SPR24/3203 Chief Brian W. Coyne Chief of Police Clinton Police Department 176 Chestnut Street Clinton, MA 01510 Dear Chief Coyne: I have received the petition of Ilhan Hakioglu appealing the response of the Clinton Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 21, 2024, Mr. Hakioglu requested, “all records including police reports, call logs dates from [August] 1, 2019 to present in regards to [three identified cases].” The Department provided a response on October 28, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Hakioglu petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3203, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Department provided a supplemental response on December 2, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s October 28th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Hakioglu may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s December 2nd response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Ilhan Hakioglu One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
