The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 11, 2024 SPR24/3216 Michael La Francesca Public Records Access Officer Director of Finance and Operations Medfield Public Schools 459 Main Street Medfield, MA 02052 Dear Mr. LaFrancesca: I have received the petition of Christine McCue Potts, of the Medfield Insider, appealing the response of the Medfield Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 7, 2024, Ms. McCue Potts requested the following records: [1] Current Medfield Public School enrollment information, PreK to Grade 12 (separated by grade), that was sent to DESE and reflects what was most recently certified. [2] Medfield MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey 2023 results for both the middle school and high school. The School responded on November 22, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. McCue Potts petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3216, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the School intends on providing a further response to Ms. McCue Potts. Accordingly, the School is ordered to provide Ms. McCue Potts with said response in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. McCue Potts may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
