Town Counsel Town of Arlington 50 Pleasant Street Arlington, MA 02476 Dear Attorney Cunningham: I have received the petition of Christopher Loreti appealing the response of the Town of Arlington (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 27, 2024, Mr. Loreti requested the following: [1] [P]ortion of the revised meeting minutes of the Town Manager Screening Committee for February 7, 2023 showing the name of the four finalists for the position of Town Manager and the results of the vote or votes taken to select them as finalists. [2] The resumes of the four finalists provided to the Screening Committee for the Town Manager position[.] Previous Appeals This request was the subject of previous appeals. See SPR23/0546 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (March 29, 2023); SPR23/0668 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (April 19, 2023); SPR23/1098 Determinations of the Supervisor of Records (June 8, 2023 and July 11, 2023); SPR23/2395 Determinations of the Supervisor of Records (October 24, 2023, January 26, 2024, February 20, 2024); SPR24/1784 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (June 25, 2024) and SPR24/2615 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (October 2, 2024). In my October 2nd determination, I learned that the Town was to provide Mr. Loreti with a supplemental response. The Town responded on November 20, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Loreti petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3245, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the Town intends on providing a further response to Mr. Loreti.
