The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 12, 2024 SPR24/3288 Karen Palumbo, Esq. Assistant District Attorney Records Access Officer Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office 155 Main Street Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Attorney Palumbo: I have received the petition of Emma Rindlisbacher appealing the response of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 1, 2024, Ms. Rindlisbacher requested, “...copy of the State Police Detective Unit Assigned to the District’s Attorney’s Office’s investigation of the use of force against [an identified individual] by [an identified] Lakeville Police Officer.” The Office responded on September 16, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Rindlisbacher petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3288, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided a further response to Ms. Rindlisbacher on December 12, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s September 16, 2024 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Rindlisbacher may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s December 12th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Emma Rindlisbacher One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
