The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records January 7, 2025 SPR24/3411 Sergeant Brenda Perez Brockton Police Department 7 Commercial Street Brockton, MA 02302 Dear Sergeant Perez: I have received the petition of Andrew McIsaac appealing the response of the Brockton Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 12, 2024, Mr. McIsaac requested “all Brockton Police Department policies and procedures related to consular access and notification.” The Department responded on December 13, 2024. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. McIsaac petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3411, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided a further response on December 27, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s December 13th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. McIsaac may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s December 27th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Andrew McIsaac One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
