The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records December 27, 2024 SPR24/3421 Brian Lynch Records Access Officer Canton Public Schools 960 Washington Street Canton, MA 02021 Dear Mr. Lynch: I have received the petition of Michael Marino appealing the nonresponse of the Canton Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 5, 2024, Mr. Marino requested, “[a] full list of employees first and last names employed under the Canton Public Schools and their yearly salary. Please provide the latest record available and also please provide records from the last day of FY2016 and FY2017.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Marino petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/3421, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the School provided Mr. Marino with a response on December 24, 2024. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the School’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Marino may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Michael Marino One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
