The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records January 16, 2025 SPR25/0048 Colleen M. Mejia, Esq. City Solicitor City of Everett 484 Broadway Everett, MA 02149 Dear Attorney Mejia: I have received the petition of Allison Jenkins appealing the response of the City of Everett (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 14, 2024, Ms. Jenkins requested, “any document that shows [an identified individual] is MCPPO certified currently. If not currently, please show last document proving [the identified individual] had an MCPPO certification and when it expired.” The City responded on November 14, 2024. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Ms. Jenkins petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0048, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the City provided a supplemental response on January 16, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s November 14th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Jenkins may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s January 16th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Allison Jenkins One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
