The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records January 24, 2025 SPR25/0099 William J. Doyle, Esq. Records Access Officer Massachusetts Department of Transportation 10 Park Plaza Boston, MA 02116 Dear Attorney Doyle: I have received the petition of John York appealing the response of the Department of Transportation (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 6, 2024, Mr. York requested, “a copy of the current template(s) for MassDOT public meeting notices.” The Department responded on January 10, 2025, providing records. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. York petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0099, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. York with a further response dated January 10, 2024, providing additional records. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s initial January 10th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. York may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s January 10th supplemental response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: John York One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
