The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records January 28, 2025 SPR25/0113 Michael P. Seery Town Clerk Town of Brookfield 6 Central Street Brookfield, MA 01506 Dear Mr. Seery: I have received the petition of Christopher Kelleher appealing the response of the Town of Brookfield (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 31, 2024, Mr. Kelleher requested the following: A copy of any correspondence from the Attorney General’s Division of Open Government to the Brookfield Conservation Commission, its Chair, or any other member of the Commission regarding Open Meeting Law complaints I filed on October 25, 2024. The Town responded on January 9, 2024. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Kelleher petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR25/0113, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the Town provided a supplemental response by email to Mr. Kelleher and this office on January 14, 2025. As this appeal was opened based on the Town’s January 9th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, Mr. Kelleher may further appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s January 14th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Christopher Kelleher One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
