Assistant City Solicitor City of Brockton City Hall 45 School Street Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Attorney Fischer: I have received the petition of Andrew McIsaac appealing the response of the City of Brockton (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 15, 2025, Mr. McIsaac requested, “... all e-mail messages (excepting e-mail messages from ...2013@gmail.com) received by/sent from, between January 6, 2025 and January 13, 2025, [a specified email address], containing the words ‘encampment’ and/or ‘homeless’.” The City responded on January 24, 2025. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. McIsaac petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0226, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided a further response to Mr. McIsaac on January 29, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s January 24, 2025 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. McIsaac may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s January 29th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
