Box 426 Vineyard Haven, MA 02568 Dear Lieutenant Brigham: I have received the petition of Sam Houghton, of MV Times, appealing the response of the Tisbury Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 23, 2025, Mr. Houghton requested, “[t]he resignation letters over the last year from [identified] members of the Tisbury Police Department...” The Department responded on January 29, 2025. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Houghton petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0297, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided a further response to Mr. Houghton on February 3, 2025. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s January 29, 2025 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Houghton may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s February 3rd response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
