See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 21, 2024, Mr. Smith requested, “[a]ll public records (a) sent by [a named individual] to any Swampscott Select Board member and/or the Swampscott Town Administrator; and (b) received by [a named individual] from any Swampscott Select Board member and/or the Swampscott Town Administrator” for the period of “June 1, 2024 to present.” On January 23, 2025, the Town provided a response. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Smith petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0345, was opened. It is my understanding that the Town intends on providing a further response to Mr. Smith to address his records request. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Smith with said response to the request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
