Cleary Records Access Officer Wellesley Police Department 485 Washington Street Wellesley, MA 02482 Dear Lieutenant Cleary: I have received the petition of Brandon Stokes, of 7NEWS WHDH Boston, appealing the response of the Wellesley Police Department (Department) to his request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 19, 2025, Mr. Stokes requested: [1] Wellesley Police cruiser dash camera video related to a break‐in at [a specified address] on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at approximately 8:21pm. [2] Wellesley Police body camera video related to a break‐in at [a specified address] on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at approximately 8:21pm. [3] [A]ll 911 calls related to a break‐in at [a specified address] in Wellesley on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at approximately 8:21pm. [4] [T]he Wellesley Police incident report and/or other documents related to a break‐in at [a specified address] on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at approximately 8:21pm. Prior Appeal The requested records were the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR25/0361 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (February 10, 2025). In my February 10th determination, I learned that the Department provided a response to Mr. Stokes on February 10th. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Stokes petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0395, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the Department intends on providing a further response to Mr. Stokes. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Stokes with said response in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office.
