The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records February 19, 2025 SPR25/0426 Cecelia Porche Paralegal – Legal Department Massachusetts State Lottery Commission 60 Columbian Street Braintree, MA 02184 Dear Ms. Porche: I have received the petition of Paul Trant appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission (Commission) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 26, 2025, Mr. Trant requested “a list of all MA lottery sales agents that cashed in prizes of $5.00 to $500 for the Bonus 50X game that was released on June 4, 2024 for the date range of January 1, 2025 to January 26, 2025.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Trant petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0426, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Commission provided Mr. Trant with a response on February 14, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Commission’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Trant may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Paul Trant One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
