The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records March 3, 2025 SPR25/0503 Kerri L. Johnson Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission 84 State Street, Suite 200 Boston, MA 02109 Dear Ms. Johnson: I have received the petition of PeanutButterJelly20 (requestor) appealing the response of the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (Commission) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 13, 2025, the requestor sought “[a]ny records involving [an identified individual] of the Methuen Police Department pertaining to [the identified individual’s] removal from the POST list for criminal conduct; and, any emails to/from POST Commission from [an identified individual] of the Methuen Police Department.” On January 27, 2025, the Commission provided the requestor with a response. Unsatisfied with the response, the requestor petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR25/0503, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the Commission provided the requestor with a response on February 28, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Commission’s January 27th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission’s February 28th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
