The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records March 7, 2025 SPR25/0550 David Genereux Town Administrator Town of Leicester 3 Washburn Square Leicester, MA 01524 Dear Mr. Genereux: I have received the petition of Doc Jones appealing the response of the Town of Leicester (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 11, 2025, Mr. Jones requested, “the CORI authorization forms and records showing when CORI checks have been [performed] for all present and former members of the following town hall boards from January 1, 2020 until today (February 11, 2025)[.]” Mr. Jones lists 28 different boards. The Town responded on February 24, 2025, providing responsive records. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Jones petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0550, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Town provided a supplemental response on March 3, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s February 24th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Jones may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s March 3rd response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Doc Jones One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832 • Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
