G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.06(4). As required by law, it is my understanding that the Department furnished a copy of the petition to the requestor, Denise Vivolo. G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv)(2). On March 7, 2025, Ms. Vivolo requested body worn camera footage of a specified incident. Subsequently, in an email to Ms. Vivolo and this office on March 21, 2025, the Department stated “… [t]he Department has received payment from Requester Denise Vivolo of a check in the amount of $100, for the fees associated with redaction and production[.]” In light of the above, it is unnecessary to opine on the Department’s petition requesting permission to charge for time spent segregating or redacting responsive records.
