See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 26, 2025, Mr. Ainooson requested the following records pertaining to the ankle monitoring/GPS bracelet: [1] Records on the updated GPS/ankle monitoring bracelet that is presently being issued to parolees: a)What information is being recorded and collected through the bracelet/GPS monitoring device, for example, beyond recording the location does it also record speech, sounds, vital signs (but not limited to); b) Is the new GPS/monitoring device larger in capacity; c) does it vibrate, make any sounds and/or allow for any form of communication(s); d) [sic] [2] Is there any memos, documentation and/or data recorded expressing any discomfort, pain, lack of circulation and/or disruption of sleep caused by the old and/or new GPS/ankle monitoring bracelet. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Ainooson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/0994, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Board has provided a response. Accordingly, the Board is ordered to provide Mr. Ainooson with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office.
