See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 25, 2025, the requestor requested the following: [S]pecific records related to the December 28 2023 incident involving the arrest of a suspect at St. Monica Church in South Boston, as outlined in the Boston Police Department’s public release titled “Officers in C-6 Arrest One After Breaking into the St. Monica Church in South Boston.” . . .[W]e are requesting the following: Body-worn camera footage from the primary officer involved, beginning shortly before first contact with the suspect and continuing through to the moment the suspect is placed into the vehicle. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1044, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned the Department intends on providing a written response to the requestor. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide the requestor with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
