Box 149 Dedham, MA 02027 Dear Attorney Madden: I have received the petition of Brian Waller, Esq. appealing the response of the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § l0A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 1, 2025, Attorney Waller requested: [1] Listing of telephone calls placed by, or received by, [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980) from February 14, 2025 through present. [2] Audio recordings of all telephone calls by or to [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980) from February 14, 2025 through present. [3] Listing of visitors for [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980) including the date of each visit from February 14, 2025 through present. [4] List of approved visitors for [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980). [5] Listing of all electronic messages sent to and received by [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980) from February 14, 2025 through present. [6] Copies of all written communication between [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980) and any other party (excluding privileged communications) from February 14, 2025 through present. [7] Listing of all canteen deposits by or on behalf of [an identified individual] (DOB 5/26/1980), including the name of the depositor, amount, and date of each deposit, from February 14, 2025 through present. The Office provided a response on April 7, 2025. Unsatisfied with the Office’s response, Attorney Waller petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1055, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the Office intends on providing a further response to Attorney Waller.
