The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records May 16, 2025 SPR25/1270 Romina Moniz Central Records Access Officer City of New Bedford 133 William Street New Bedford, MA 02740 Dear Ms. Moniz: I have received the petition of Ana Bahrani appealing the response of the City of New Bedford (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 11, 2025, Ms. Bahrani requested, “[a copy of the] insurance that [an identified individual] had on file when I hired him. I hired him to install a permitted roof replacement but found out after the fact that he did not permit it. . .” The City provided a response on April 4, 2025. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Bahrani petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1270, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided Ms. Bahrani with a record responsive to her request on May 16, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s April 4, 2025 response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Bahrani may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s May 16th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Ana Bahrani One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
