The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records May 13, 2025 SPR25/1302 Allison Mondello Public Records Manager Office of the Chief Legal Counsel Massachusetts State Police 50 Maple Street Milford, MA 01757 Dear Ms. Mondello: I have received the petition of Attorney Mateo Vazquez, of Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 15, 2025, Attorney Vazquez requested records relating to an identified automobile accident which occurred on July 30, 2024 at I-93 Exit 16B in Boston including: “reports, accident reconstruction reports[,] photographs[,] recordings[,] body cam footage[,] 911 recordings[,] surveillance tapes[,] investigatory [,] witness statements[, and] etc. Police cruiser [an identified] license number.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Vazquez petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1302, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Attorney Vazquez with a response on May 9, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Vazquez may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Mateo Vazquez, Esq.
