The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records May 14, 2025 SPR25/1309 Tara R. Douglas, Esq. Records Access Officer Board of Registration in Medicine 200 Harvard Mill Square, Suite 330 Wakefield, MA 01880 Dear Attorney Douglas: I have received the petition of Greta Jochem of The Republican/MassLive.com/El Pueblo Latino appealing the nonresponse of the Board of Registration in Medicine (Board) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 16, 2025, Ms. Jochem requested the following records: [1] Any complaints made to the Board of Registration in Medicine about [an identified individual][;] [2] Any inquiries the Board made to the General Medical Council in the UK or any other country’s medical boards about [an identified individual][;] [3] All documents the Board has in its file on [an identified individual]. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Jochem petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1309, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Board has provided a response. Accordingly, the Board is ordered to provide Ms. Jochem with a response to her request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Jochem may appeal the substantive nature of the Board’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
