The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records May 28, 2025 SPR25/1404 Susan Audette Town Clerk Town of Amherst 4 Boltwood Avenue Amherst, MA 01002 Dear Ms. Audette: I have received the petition of Maria Kopicki appealing the response of the Town of Amherst (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 26, 2025, Ms. Kopicki requested, “[a]ny documents regarding the award of a general contract to Fontaine Bros on April 4, 2025 as referenced in the attached letter of April 17, 2025 from KP Law to the MA Attorney General’s Office which states[,] ‘[o]n April 4, 2025, following execution of the MOA, the Town awarded the general contract to Fontaine.” The Town responded on April 29, 2025, May 13, 2025, and May 15, 2025. Unsatisfied with the Town’s responses, Ms. Kopicki petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1404, was opened as a result. In an email dated May 20, 2025, Ms. Kopicki informed this office that she wishes to withdraw her appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
