Rivera appealing the response of the City of Lawrence (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 13, 2025, Mr. Rivera requested the following regarding “the newly installed blue oversize chairs with a sign portraying the seal of the City and the name of [the] Mayor”: [1] The number of chairs bought[;] [2] The specific locations the chairs were installed[;] [3] The day the chairs were bought[;] [4] The purpose of buying and installing the chairs[;] [5] The name of the company or individual who build the chairs[;] [6] Copy of the receipt provided by the builder and/or the price of every chair[.] The City responded on May 13, 2025. Unsatisfied with the responses, Mr. Rivera petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1560, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the City provided Mr. Rivera with a supplemental response dated June 6, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as the result of the City’s May 13th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rivera may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s June 6th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
