Aronstein Town Administrator Town of Swansea 81 Main Street Swansea, MA 02777 Dear Ms. Aronstein: I have received the petition of Geraldine Mullaly appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Swansea (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 10, 2025, Ms. Mullaly requested “documents/job descriptions/BY Laws/etc. which identify: the officials (elected/appointed) authorized to request the transfer of funds, and which transfer requests must be authorized by the Selectmen and/or the A&F Committee[.]” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Mullaly petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1581, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Ms. Mullaly with a response on June 5, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Mullaly may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
