The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records June 20, 2025 SPR25/1647 Jenna Wellhoff, Esq. First Assistant Town Attorney Town of West Springfield 26 Central Street West Springfield, MA 01089 Dear Attorney Wellhoff: I have received the petition of Kristine Barberi appealing the response of the Town of West Springfield (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 18, 2025, Ms. Barberi requested, “. . . the police crash report, police report and accident reconstruction report for an accident on 10-29-19 around 6 PM around . . . Memorial Avenue.” The Town responded on June 5, 2025. Unsatisfied with the response and claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Barberi petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1647, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Ms. Barberi with a supplemental response on June 11, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s June 5th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Barberi may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s June 11th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Kristine Barberi One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
