The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records July 1, 2025 SPR25/1749 Robert Avery Lieutenant Lynn Police Department 300 Washington Street Lynn, MA 01902-4718 Dear Lieutenant Avery: I have received the petition of Eleonora Bianchi, of the New Bedford Light, appealing the response of the Lynn Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 7, 2025, Ms. Bianchi requested “… any and all surveillance footage from [two specific locations] on June 4, 2025, between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.” The Department responded on June 9, 2025. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Bianchi petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1749, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Ms. Bianchi with supplemental responses on June 24 and June 30, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s June 9th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Bianchi may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s June 24th and June 30th responses within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Eleonora Bianchi James P. Lamanna, Esq.
