The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records July 3, 2025 SPR25/1888 Captain Thomas J. Malone Revere Police Department 400 Revere Beach Parkway Revere, MA 02151 Dear Captain Malone: I have received the petition of Attorney Philip G. Cormier, of Good Schneider Cormier Fried & Brooks, appealing the nonresponse of the Revere Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 12, 2025, Attorney Cormier requested “[r]ecords pertaining to the August 18, 2001, armed robbery, assault by dangerous weapon, and providing a false name, alleged to have been committed by [identified individual]. . .” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Attorney Cormier petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR25/1888, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Attorney Cormier with a response on July 2, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Cormier may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Philip G.
