Powers Town Clerk Town of Westwood 530 High Street Westwood, MA 02090 Dear Ms. Powers: I have received the appeal of Ada Zhong appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Westwood (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 14, 2025, Ms. Zhong requested: [A]ll applications or related documents for the current members of the Westwood Finance and Warrant Commission[:] [1] All applications, resumes, letters of interest, or any other documents submitted by individuals currently serving as members of the Finance and Warrant Commission[;] [2] Any related correspondence or records pertaining to their appointment to the Commission. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Zhong appealed this office and this appeal, SPR25/2023, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Ms. Zhong with a response on July 14, 2025. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Zhong may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
